edition albury

The "Albury Collection" is a collection of Catholic Apostolic writings, named after the village which was at the centre of the Catholic Apostolic Church, emerged from a revival movement from around 1830 in England and Scotland.

The Catholic Apostolic movement within the Church Universal had its heyday in the years between 1835 and 1901, producing a wealth of theological writings in both English and German during this time. For the Christian Church these materials, though difficult to be obtained by the general public, are indispensable apostolic documents.

As John Bate Cardale, pillar of the apostles, writes in his Concluding Note to a summarized edition of the TESTIMONY (A MANUAL, 1843):

"We are not separatists nor schismatics. We are not gathered together, and distinguished from others, in any hostile or aggressive attitude; nor by way of protest, or testimony, against what yet remains in the Church of the true ordinances for Priesthood and Ministry; but rather as a testimony of what God would do, for strenghtening the things which remain, and carrying them forward to perfection."

Currently, the EDITION includes more than 2,100 writings in german language (with more than 55,000 pages). In English language up to now 50 documents are available. Here (download english documents), all the documents can be downloaded for free.
